Better late than never!

After a cool, slow start to spring in Cape Breton, things are finally starting to spring to life. 

The leaves began popping open this past weekend - a very welcome sight!

Spring is finally arriving here in Cape Breton and that got us thinking about blueberry season, which is now just about three months away. Rare Earth Venture has two properties for sale with significant blueberry fields - one in Glencoe in Cape Breton, and one in Lochaber on mainland Nova Scotia.

Ready for takeoff!

Featured Property of the Month: GLENCOE

This 100-acre rural, farm land property featuring a blueberry field and two large forest stands, is for sale for $82,000 plus HST. When Rare Earth Venture acquired the property in 2008, a five-acre field was cleared for blueberry production and there is great potential for expansion. The property also includes two large stands of forest land, representing significant wood value. The northwestern stand is treed with spruce, fir and larch and the southwestern stand is a mixture of hardwood and softwood. 

There is a great northerly view to the distant Mabou Highlands from the cleared blueberry field. The road to this property was rebuilt in 2008 and offers easy access by any type of vehicle.
