Winter scenes from two Pleasant Bay properties

The summer and fall seasons may get most of the glory in Cape Breton, but winter is also a beautiful time of year on the island. We took a trip to two of our properties in Pleasant Bay this week.

Neighbouring properties separated by the Grand Anse River,
one lot is 1.6 acres and the other is a 1 acre parcel.

Check out some of the photos we captured:

The 1.6 acre property is on the left in the below photos; the 1 acre property is on the right

The 1.6 acre lot is listed at $25,000 plus HST, the 1 acre lot for $15,500 plus HST.

A winter visit to the Island at Aspy Bay

The water around the Island at Aspy Bay is frozen allowing us to make a visit to the island this week (March 13). It was a beautiful, sunny day - great for getting some photos of this unique property that is for sale by Rare Earth Venture for $37,000.

Take a look at just a few of the photos:

Beautiful day in Baddeck

The lighthouse on Kidston Island is a well-photographed and iconic part of the village of Baddeck. The water (Bras d'Or Lake) between Baddeck and the island was frozen over this past weekend, allowing area residents a chance to see it up close in the winter.

In the summer, Kidston Island is home to a public beach which can be accessed by a ferry service operated by the local Lions Club.

Rare Earth Venture has many properties located near Baddeck.

NEW LISTING: River lot on River Inhabitants

Another new listing has been added to our website this week!

This 20-acre property, located near Cleveland in Inverness County, features river frontage on River Inhabitants and road frontage on Riverside Road. River Inhabitants is great for canoeing, fishing, boating, and other water activities. The property, featuring a mix of trees and local wildlife, gently slopes towards the river. A railway line runs through the property but the rail line is not in use and hasn't been for a number of years.

This property has the best of both worlds - it is a remote parcel of riverfront land with plenty of privacy but it is also close to many amenities and essential services.

The property is just 12 km away from the Strait Richmond Hospital, which includes an emergency room that operates 24 hours per day/7 days per week. The Town of Port Hawkesbury is just 14 km away with lots of restaurants, shopping, accommodations, entertainment, and services. The renowned Dundee Golf course is also a short drive away (approximately 17 km).

Spring may be just around the corner, but things are still looking very winter-like at
Rare Earth Venture's office on Beverly's Hill Road in Baddeck Inlet:
Compare that to this photo of the office in July:

We are looking forward to re-opening our office in the spring.
Make sure to visit if you're in the area!
